New safety training available from PennDOT!

Beautify PA Safely is an interactive Compact Disc (CD) that helps volunteers stay safe while they pick up litter and beautify Pennsylvania's highway right-of-ways. This CD shows volunteers the many ways they can improve Pennsylvania's roadside appearance and instructs them on how to maintain appealing plantings.

It also contains many interactive lessons on how to stay safe such as: how to set up a work zone sign, what to do if a volunteer finds litter associated with making a highly addictive illegal drug called 'meth' or weapons, what to wear so drivers are not distracted by cleanup groups, how to identify and report invasive plants that cause environmental harm and how to apply basic first aid techniques should an injury occur. A portion of the CD is translated into Spanish.
